Chiropractic is the health care discipline that emphasizes the innate recuperative powers of the body to heal itself without drugs or surgery. The practice of chiropractic focuses on the evaluation, restoration and maintenance of the structural and functional integrity of the body. The driving purpose of chiropractic is to promote optimal health and function, vitality, an improved quality of life, reduction in the risk of future injuries, and an enhanced sense of well-being.
Following a thorough medical history, you will receive a complete orthopedic, neurological, postural and chiropractic examination. X-rays may be indicated.
We review all findings and test results with you. Your treatment program will be explained and all questions will be answered.
Your care will include the following as needed:
- Active Release Techniques®
- Rehabilitative Exercise: stretching and strengthening exercises specifically designed to enhance the healing process and correct faulty posture
- Physiotherapy: traction, electrical stimulation, ice and heat
- Functional Exercise Training: a conditioning program designed for improved balance, body awareness and injury reduction
We recognize the value and responsibility of working with other health care professionals. If necessary, we co-treat with and refer to several prominent local physicians.
